Challenge: Office City wanted to highlight the importance of their 100+ year history while also showcasing all that they have to offer, especially when competing with big box stores.

Solution: The copy is designed to celebrate the achievement of 100 years in business, offer a little something to history buffs, and most importantly, talk about what that kind of legacy means for the customers. We also made sure to include all the benefits of shopping at Office City.

A downtown institution


Missoula’s Office City was founded in 1916 by Joseph M. Dixon under the name The Office Supply Company. When Dixon made a successful run for governor in 1920, he sold the business to Claude Elder – and it remains in our family to this day!

Originally in the Florence Hotel building, we were forced to relocate when a fire destroyed the hotel in 1934. After a brief stopover at 221 N Higgins, in 1939, we moved to our current location at 115 W Broadway.

In 1995, we joined the nation’s largest buying group and changed our name to Missoula’s Office City. This partnership allows us to provide you with over 200 brands and 70,000 products at the most competitive prices, including a full selection of office, janitorial, and furniture supplies.
